Hide an emergency bag (or leave with a friend).

Pack clothes, medicines, spare keys, favourite toys, important documents and money.

Plan when to leave, and discuss this with children, if appropriate.

If possible leave when the perpetrator is not around.

Call 999 in an emergency and teach your children to dial 999 in an emergency “You are not alone”.
