ELEOS

Engagement, Learning, Empowerment, Opportunity & Support

The ELEOS Centre (Engagement, Learning, Empowerment, Opportunity & Support) is a Three Phase, Three to Five year project.
The project will see the creation of a Centre of Excellence supporting women, children and young people at the earliest possible stage. We will provide support and opportunities to access a wide range of essential services all under one roof.
An essential and integral aspect is the creation of a specialised resource for our children and young people. The lower ground floor will accommodate a specialised, dedicated, safe, age appropriate and supportive environment.
To date, our Fundraising Campaign has generated £435,000 Capital and Revenue funding –
£360,000 from the Community Ownership Fund,
£25,000 from The Pilgrim Trust
£50,000 from Garfield Weston Foundation.

WAAD is working hard to raise the remaining funds to deliver the  project. We are seeking to engage through the following channels –
  • Corporate Fundraising
  • Trust & Foundation Engagement
  • Community Fundraising

Train with us

Employers are well placed to spot the signs of domestic abuse in colleagues: anxiety, decreased motivation, seeming distracted, being late, being on the phone very often – and yet so often no one knows what to say or do. This must change. Our training supports line managers /HR to recognise the signs of domestic abuse, understand the issues, and respond quickly and effectively when a victim needs help.
