Opening up conversations.

This week we got the opportunity to work in partnership with Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council to meet with a number of large employers in the ABC area to discuss our work and services but also to discuss how the workplace can be a place to tackle Domestic & Sexual Abuse.

We thank everyone who worked to create this event and also to those from the business community who attended – Ashleigh Scarlett, Moy Park; Tracy Rice, Southern Regional College; Janine Smalls, Tarasis Enterprises; Simon Grattan; Almac Group; Kyla Herron, Almac Group, Darren Johnston, Hyster-Yale, Linda Glass, Hyster-Yale; and Fiona Derry from Derry Refrigerated Transport.

And we would like to thank Cheryl Magookin of Terex, Lurgan who spoke at the event about their current corporate partnership with Women’s Aid Armagh Down.

We were grateful for the opportunity to meet the local employers and open up the conversations about how together we can help create pathways to safety and how we can disrupt the patterns of abuse and become active bystanders to address the root cause of domestic abuse.
