ELEOS – update.
At WAAD, we are on an exciting journey of sustainable growth — building strong foundations to serve our community now and for the future.Â
Where we are now:
We’ve made incredible progress at No. 5 Downshire Place, completing the first phase of our three-phase refurbishment plan. This marks a significant step towards realising our vision for the ELEOS Centre, a space dedicated to providing specialised early intervention support to the communities of Newry, Mourne & Down, and Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon.Â
We’ve been working hard to strengthen our organisation by diversifying our income — pursuing grants, forging meaningful corporate partnerships through our Be the Change model, launching fundraising campaigns, and exploring social enterprise opportunities. At the same time, we continue to invest in our people — equipping our staff and volunteers with the skills and capacity to meet growing demand — and we remain committed to transparency, communication, and clear impact reporting.Â
Where we want to get to:
Our vision is to complete the full refurbishment of the ELEOS Centre and bring it to life as a welcoming, resilient hub for early intervention and support. We aim to create a sustainable, adaptable organisation that can weather challenges, meet evolving community needs, and deliver real, lasting impact.Â
