The Staff and Board of Women’s Aid Armagh Down are delighted to celebrate and thank Dr Mary Larkin and Claire Curran, not only for their many years of dedicated service on our Board, but for the passion, commitment, and heart they brought to our organisation as a vital grassroots, specialist service.
Mary and Claire’s contributions have always gone far beyond volunteering. Time and again, they stepped forward, giving generously from their busy professional lives to champion real and lasting change for women and girls. They became part of a wider movement, standing shoulder to shoulder with others to end violence against women and children and to build a safer, more supportive world.
Their compassion and resilience, through challenging moments and joyful milestones alike, have touched countless lives. They led by example, showing what true community leadership looks like: uplifting those in need, empowering others, and shaping our mission from the ground up. Because of volunteers like Mary and Claire, we continue to create hope, foster kindness, and inspire meaningful, lasting change.
Thank you, Mary and Claire, for everything you have given, for the part you have played in this journey, and for your unwavering belief in a brighter future for women and children. We are deeply grateful to have you as part of our story and our community.
