“This is Me” Creative Exhibition.

Women’s Aid Armagh Down, in partnership with Southern Regional College, was proud to host a powerful creative art and writing exhibition celebrating the voices and journeys of women involved in the Wellbeing Programme.

Over the past three months, women have explored their personal experiences of domestic abuse through creativity, courage, and self-expression. The exhibition highlights stories of resilience, strength, and the ongoing journey of reclaiming identity. Most importantly, it reflects hope — hope for healing, for the future, and for a life beyond abuse. This was more than an exhibition. This was strength. This was courage.

“This is Me” is a gentle reflection of courage, healing, and hope. Through art and writing, women have shared pieces of their journeys with honesty and strength, reminding us that even after difficult experiences, it is possible to rediscover your voice, reclaim your identity, and look toward the future with hope.” Mairead Hearty Support Service Manager WAAD

We are also delighted to continue our partnership with SRC as the women embark on an exciting new chapter—an 8-week playwriting course titled “From Silence to Stage.” This initiative will provide a powerful platform for women to share their voices, raise awareness, and bring their lived experiences to the stage.

This programme is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund Northern Ireland.
